1. Start off with creating a new document. Make it 350×350 RGB.
2. Make a nice bakground, using the Gradient Tool. In this case I’m using #e2e8ee and #92a8bf.
3. Create a new layer and select the Rectangular Marquee Tool. Then make a perfect rectangle, by holding down shift when you draw out the box.
4. Go to Select > Modify > Smooth. And set the radius to 3px.
5. Fill the rectangle with any color you like. It doesn’t matter.

6. Go to Layer > Layer Style > Gradient Overlay and use these settings. Colors: #0089b3 and #004e66.

7. Select Bevel and Emboss and use these settings:

10. If you’ve done this right, you should have something similar to this:

11. Let’s move on to the last part in this tutorial. Create a new layer. Then hold down CTRL and click the rectangle layer. This will mark the square that we where working with 1 min ago.
12. Now, select the radial marquee tool. As you draw out a nice circle, hold down ALT. The release the mousebutton.

13. Fill it with a whit color and set down the opacity to 10-15%.
14. In this example I’d just put the date in the icon. You can ofcourse put whatever you want there!
