There are many new features in Windows Vista, most of them unnecessary and annoying. Windows Vista users will quickly find out the most prominent annoyance and that is User Account Control. When you change any Vista settings or even try to copy a file, the screen dims and a small dialog asks you if you want to make the changes. This is quite stupid as Vista is asking for your permission to apply the changes that YOU initiated. So how do we turn it off? Follow these simply steps:
1) Go to start
2) Go to control panel
3) Click on User Accounts and Family Safety
4) Click on User Accounts
5) Click Turn User Account Control on or off
6) Un-check the checkbox, reboot and you're done.
But wait, why is there this stupid notification that keeps popping up after I reboot?
Don't worry, you can turn the notification off as well. Just follow these steps!
1) Double click the red icon.
2) Windows Security Center should open up like this:
3) Click "Change the way Security Center alerts me" at the left hand side.
4) You should now have 3 options.
5) Now obviously you wouldn't want to choose option 1. You can either choose option 2 or 3 but 2 is recommended as you will still know that your computer might have some security problem just that the notification doesn't pop up.
6) No more annoying notifications!
